[PIO] Forest fire in an area of the community of Droushia under full control

The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that today, Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 03:00 a.m., a fire broke out in an area of the community of Droushia, Paphos District.

Thanks to the immediate intervention of the forest firefighting forces, the fire was brought under full control before it spread, burning a small area covered with dry grass.

Two persons of the Forestry Department with one fire engine were engaged to extinguish the fire.

The causes of the fire are being investigated.
