The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that today, 20 October 2023 at 14:45, a fire broke out in the location "Stavros" of the Community of Droushia, Paphos District.
The fire was brought under full control at 16:05 after burning an area of 1.7 hectares with low wild vegetation.
Five fire-fighting vehicles of the Forestry Department with 20 people participated in the extinguishing operation. Also assisted were three fire department personnel with one fire engine.
The exact causes of the fire are being investigated.
