The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that today at 13:18 a fire broke out in an area of the Kalavasos community.
The fire was brought under full control at 14:05, after it burned about one hectare of apopalamas and crops.
Seven persons of the Forestry Department with one fire engine and six persons of the Fire Service with two fire engines worked to extinguish the fire.
The causes of the fire are being investigated.
