The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that today, Monday, August 5, 2024, at 14:45, a fire broke out near the Stelios Ioannou Foundation in Latsia.
The fire was brought under full control at 15:10, burning an area of three decares of low wild vegetation.
Three members of the Forestry Department with one fire engine participated in extinguishing the fire. Forestry Department operations were assisted by the Fire Department with five personnel and two fire trucks, and an entry team with two personnel and a small fire truck.
The causes of the fire are being investigated.
