Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos is currently travelling to Egypt, where he will pay a working visit on 4 and 5 June 2024.
During his stay in Cairo, the Minister will meet tomorrow, Tuesday, 4 June 2024, with Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry. In particular, the two Ministers will have a private meeting, followed by extended consultations with the participation of delegations from both Ministries. The consultations will focus on bilateral relations between Cyprus and Egypt, the Cyprus problem, EU-Egypt relations, as well as regional developments in the Middle East.
After the consultations, the two Ministers will make statements to the media.
In the framework of his visit, the Foreign Minister will also meet with the Secretary General of the Arab League, Mr Ahmed Aboul Gheit.
