[PIO] Foreign Minister goes to the United Arab Emirates and Kazakhstan

Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos will pay a working visit to the United Arab Emirates tomorrow, Saturday, March 23. During the visit, Mr. Kombos will meet with Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Minister of State for International Cooperation Ms. Reem Ebrahim Al Hashimy. The discussions will focus on bilateral relations, developments in the Middle East and the humanitarian situation in Gaza, including the dispatch of aid through the Maritime Humanitarian Corridor. Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu.

During his stay in the capital Astana, Mr. Kompos will have a private meeting with Mr. Nurtleu, followed by extended talks between the delegations of the two Ministries. At the end of the consultations, the two Ministers will make statements to the media. The discussions will focus on bilateral relations between Cyprus and Kazakhstan, developments in the Cyprus problem, EU-Kazakhstan relations, regional developments in the Eastern Mediterranean and Central Asia, as well as developments in Ukraine and the Middle East.

The Foreign Minister will also be received by the President of Kazakhstan, Mr. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of the Senate, Mr. Maulen Ashimbayev, and will have a meeting with the Prosecutor General of Kazakhstan, Mr. Berik Asylov. Finally, the Foreign Minister will visit the Astana International Financial Centre.
