[PIO] Foreign Minister goes to Brussels for the EU Foreign Affairs Council

Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos will travel to Brussels tomorrow, Sunday, 26 May 2024, where on Monday, 27 May, he will participate in the proceedings of the European Union (EU) Foreign Affairs Council.

During the Council's proceedings, the Ministers will discuss the situation in the Middle East. In this context, they will have an informal exchange of views with the Foreign Ministers of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar, as well as with the Secretary General of the League of Arab States.

The Ministers will also discuss the ongoing Russian aggression against Ukraine. They will also review current foreign relations issues, focusing on the latest developments in Venezuela, as well as the situation in Georgia and Haiti.

The Council meeting will be followed by the 8th Brussels Conference "Supporting the future of Syria and the wider region".

In the margins of the Council, Mr. Kombos will have contacts with his counterparts.
