The Training Centres of the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth inform that their Final Event will take place at the "Pavilion" Centre on Wednesday, 17 April 2024 at 7.00 pm and will be open to the public.
In the area of the event there will be a large exhibition of works and constructions of the members of the Centres from the Pottery-Ceramics, Hagiography, Clay Painting, Silversmithing, Room Decoration, Flower Arrangement, Painting, Porcelain Doll Making, Cutting-Sewing, Culinary Confectionery groups, Chinese Cooking, Chinese Cooking, Indian Cooking, Confectionery, Carpentry, Wood Carving, Wood Carving, Cypriot Handicrafts, Cutting-Sewing, Chiseling-Smithing, Cypriot Embroidery Lefkari Fithkiotiko - Asproploumia, Oenology, Photographic Art, Handicrafts, Handmade Jewellery, Holography - Mosaic etc.etc. Also, an artistic programme will be presented, which will include dance, theatre and singing.
Public participation in the Training Centres is showing a continuous increase and they have established themselves in people's consciousness as a useful and attractive programme offering training to adults. Today the Training Centres offer courses to 18000 people and are taught by over 366 qualified trainers
The topics of the Training Centres are very varied and provide an opportunity for thousands of adults to satisfy their interests. The basic programmes cover vocational skills, practical household issues, foreign languages, health and cultural issues.
The social contribution of the Training Centres extends to offering useful programmes free of charge to many special groups of the population, such as the incarcerated, illiterate, prisoners, soldiers, the elderly, the disabled, the deaf, the blind, the blind, the handicapped, etc.
