The Department of Agriculture, Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, informs those involved in the production, processing and marketing of organic products that the European Commission, in cooperation with other bodies, is organizing for the third year the "European Organic Production Awards".
The award, which will take place in Brussels on 23 September 2024, is a recognition of excellence in the value chain of organic products and is part of the actions of the "European Action Plan for Organic Production" through the "Farm to Plate" strategy. According to the official announcement, the awards are given to the best and most innovative participants in the organic production chain.
The award categories are as follows:
- Best Organic Producer and Best Organic Producer Award
- Best Organic Region Award
- Best Organic Municipality Award
- Best Organic Processing Plant Award
- Award for best/best organic food retailer
- Award for best organic restaurant

The application period is from 4 March to 12 May 2024.
