[PIO] Electronic submission and examination of applications for building permits from 1 July 2024

The issuance of a Decree for the electronic submission and examination of applications for the issuance of building permits from Monday, July 1, 2024, was issued by the Minister of Interior, based on the Law on the Regulation of Roads and Buildings. In view of the implementation of the Local Government Reform and the actions taken to simplify and accelerate the development licensing process, the Decree provides for the electronic submission and examination of applications for building permits, for all types of development, through the "IPPODAMOS" System, with simultaneous electronic payment of the corresponding fees.

In conjunction with the transfer of responsibility for development licensing from the existing Authorities to the five newly established Provincial Development Agencies, July 1, 2024 is considered by the Ministry of Interior as a milestone in development licensing, as well as the digital transition of its services. The main objectives are to improve service for developers and investors, but especially for citizens, reduce bureaucracy and reduce delays in issuing permits.
