It is clarified that participation, if special polling stations for Turkish Cypriot voters are excluded, is 44.6% compared to 32% at the same time in the 2019 European elections.

In relation to the participation of Turkish Cypriots in these European elections, it is reported that so far 4,110 voters have come to the special polling stations and exercised their right to vote, out of a total of 103,281 registered on the special electoral roll.

To reiterate, voting continues until 6 p.m. I urge voters who have not voted to do so and not to wait until 6 p.m., as this will create queues. I should also mention that precisely because of the preparation and information that the Ministry of Home Affairs had, voting is running smoothly and fortunately we have no complaints that voters are being hampered by the number of ballot papers they are receiving.
