The Nicosia Drainage Board informs the public that following the discharge of a large amount of rainwater into the sewage drainage pipes, a collapse has occurred in one of its pipes, which is located within the Dead Zone, near the Industrial Area in Kaimakli.
The Council is taking all necessary steps to deal with the situation that has arisen, in consultation with the United Nations.
The Council informs the public that within the next few days there is a possibility that odour phenomena may be observed in the area near the Industrial Area in Kaimakli and that it will provide an update at a later stage and depending on the evolution of the situation.
