A press conference was held yesterday for the completion of the Major Flood Control Project of Greater Limassol, the Limassol-Amathus Drainage Board (LAD).
The project, worth approximately €20 million, is co-financed by the European Union (EU), the Government of Cyprus and SALA. The Project was implemented through two contracts, one for the provision of Design Consultancy services, awarded to Z&A P. Antonaropoulos and Partners, and one for the execution of the construction works, awarded to the Iacovou-Zemco (Sl) Joint Venture.
The Project is of utmost importance for the overall flood protection of Greater Limassol and is expected to contribute substantially to the elimination of the flooding problem in Limassol. The implementation of this project was made possible after a great methodical effort by SALA and all stakeholders.
