The Office of the Legislative Commissioner, in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice and Public Order, have proceeded with the revision of the three explanatory Guides on whistleblower protection. The three Guides are addressed to employees, employers and the relevant authorities and aim to inform them of their rights and obligations as they arise from the Protection of Persons Reporting Breaches of Union and National Law Act 2022 (Law 6(I)/2022).
The updated Guides have incorporated the recent amendments to the Act passed by Parliament for the purposes of better implementation of the Act and better harmonisation with the European Union Act entitled "Directive (EU) 2019/1937 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 October 2019 on the protection of persons reporting violations of Union law".
The revised Guides have been posted on the websites of the Office of the Law Commissioner and the Ministry of Justice and Public Order
