[PIO] Chocolate recall from the Cypriot market

The Ministry of Health informs the consumer public that the Health Services have received information through the Early Warning System for Food and Feed (RASFF), according to which, the below mentioned food (Chocolate), which has been released in the Cypriot market, after self-monitoring by the distributor in Greece, has been found to contain the allergenic ingredient 'peanuts/peanut' without this being indicated in the ingredients (list of ingredients) or the precautionary labelling in Greek in violation of the current legislation on food labelling.

Peanuts are among the allergens and may cause health problems to people who are allergic to them.

The Health Services of the Ministry of Health have already informed the company distributing these products in the Cypriot market with instructions for their immediate withdrawal / recall from the market.

However, since some quantity of this batch may already be in the possession of consumers who have an allergic reaction to the consumption of peanuts, they are advised to avoid consuming them and return them to the places where they purchased them.
