Today, 19 April 2024, the award ceremony of the Painting Competition "Personal Data Protection in the School Unit" took place, which was organised by the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth.
The competition was open to students of secondary and high school cycles of public and private secondary general and secondary technical and vocational education and training schools. The evaluation of the competition projects was carried out separately for the secondary school cycle and the upper secondary school cycle. For the secondary school cycle 10 projects were submitted and for the high school cycle 19 projects were submitted.
Per cycle, prizes worth €150 for the first prize, €100 for the second prize and €50 for the third prize were awarded. Prizes were also awarded to the works that received a Commendation.
At the award ceremony, the Data Protection Commissioner expressed "Special thanks to the children, who give their heart and soul every time, offering us unique creations that adorn the cover of our Office's annual exhibition, but also form the anniversary poster for the International Data Protection Day, which is 28 January."
