The annual meeting of the National Coordination Committee for Search and Rescue was held today at the premises of the KSEED, with the participation of the Ministers of Defence and Transport and the Director General of the Ministry of Transport, the Director General of the Deputy Ministry of Maritime Affairs, the Director of Civil Aviation and the Director of Maritime Policy and Energy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting, issues were discussed which aim both at the proper functioning of the Search and Rescue system and its further upgrading, contributing significantly to Cyprus' efforts to become a hub of security and stability in the wider Eastern Mediterranean region.
