1. Asphalt paving works on the A1 Nicosia-Lemesos motorway
The Nicosia District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that on Wednesday 26/6/2024 and Thursday 27/6/2024, from 21:00 until 05:00 the following day, paving works will be carried out on the A1 Nicosia-Lemesos motorway, on the Kalamata flyover.
During the execution of the works on 26/6/2024 the lanes from Nicosia to Limassol and on 27/6/2024 the corresponding lanes from Limassol to Nicosia will be closed. Traffic will be routed through the Kalamata roundabout accordingly.
2. Pruning and cleaning works on the Nicosia-Rizoelia motorway
The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, Department of Public Works, Nicosia District Engineer's Office announces that during the period 8/7/2024-8/8/2024, daily except Fridays and weekends, between 09:00-15:00, the Forestry Department will carry out pruning and vegetation clearance works on the central island on the Nicosia-Rizoelia Motorway from the junction with the Nicosia-Lemesos motorway to the Athienou junction.
During the execution of the works, the right (fast) lane will be partially closed and traffic will be diverted to the left (slow) lane for a distance of approximately 1.5 km in both directions.
The Department of Public Works apologizes for the unavoidable inconvenience that will be caused and urges the public to show due understanding and comply with the temporary road signs.
