1. Works for the installation of the light marking system on the Limassol coastal road and the road connecting the Limassol - Paphos motorway with the New Limassol Port
The Limassol District Engineer's Office, Public Works Department, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that during the period from Friday 1/12/2023 to Saturday 23/12/2023, including weekends, work will be carried out by a private company for the installation of the photoluminescence system on the Limassol coastal road and the road connecting the Limassol - Paphos A6 motorway with the New Limassol Port (Vertical Road), under a contract of the Department of Electromechanical Services.
During the execution of the works, one lane will be closed at all times for a length of approximately 100 m and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane.
2. The Larnaca District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that during the period 4/12/2023 - 26/1/2024 between 08:30 - 15:00, daily except weekends and holidays, the Forestry Department will carry out pruning and spraying of bushes on the slopes of all highways and junctions in Larnaca District.
During the works, on the Larnaca - Ayia Napa motorway from Larnaca Airport to the Rizoelia roundabout and on the Nicosia - Larnaca motorway from the Rizoelia roundabout to the exit to Lympia, as well as on the Larnaca - Kofinou motorway (from both directions), part of the embankment will be closed in sections over a length of 300 m at a time.
The Department of Public Works apologizes for the unavoidable inconvenience that will be caused and invites the public to show the necessary understanding and to comply with the temporary road signs and the instructions of the Police.
