1. Excavation and shaft construction works on the old Athienou - Avdellero - Aradippou road
The Larnaca District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, announces that during the period from 18 to 29 September 2023, daily except weekends, between 07:00 - 16:00, on the old Athienou - Avdeleros - Aradippou road, there will be excavation and well construction works on the old Athienou - Avdeleros - Aradippou road.
During the execution of the works, the embankment of the road from Athienou to Aradippou in the direction from Athienou to Aradippou will be partially closed. In some parts of the road where the roadbed is narrow, traffic will be managed by a STOP & GO system.
2. Soundproofing works on Limassol Bypass Road
The Limassol District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, announces that, during the period from 18 to 21 September 2023, between the hours of 22:00 to 06:00 in the morning of the following day, on the Limassol Bypass Road on the air bridge of the Polemidia junction, soundproofing works will be carried out by a private company.
During the works, the slow lane of the road towards Paphos will be partially closed for 500m.
3. Replacement works of reflective nails and safety barriers on the Limassol - Nicosia motorway
The Limassol District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, announces that during the period from 18 September to 12 October 2023, between the hours of 21:00 to 06:00 the following morning, excluding Fridays and weekends, on the Limassol - Nicosia motorway (A1), work will be carried out to replace reflective nails and safety barriers on the road.
During the works, one lane will be partially closed in one direction only for a length of approximately 1000m and traffic will be diverted to the other lane.
4. Furniture lifting works in a building using a mobile crane on Themistocles Dervi Street
The Nicosia District Engineer's Office, Public Works Department, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, announces that on Sunday 17 September 2023, between 06:00 - 12:00, on Themistocles Dervi Street in Nicosia, at the height of the junction with Nicocreontos Street and for a distance of approximately 100 metres, furniture lifting works will be carried out on a building using a mobile crane.
During the execution of the works, the road towards the centre of Nicosia will remain closed to traffic and traffic will be directed through Kostas Hatzopoulou and Giannis Kranidiotis streets.
5. Vegetation removal works on the elevated central island of the Limassol - Paphos motorway
The Limassol District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, announces that during the period from 18 September to 27 October 2023, except weekends, between 09:00 to 17:00, on the Limassol - Paphos motorway near the Paramaliou junction, vegetation removal works will be carried out on the elevated central island of the motorway by a private contractor.
During the works, the express lanes in both directions of the Limassol-Paphos motorway will be closed for approximately 1000m and traffic will be diverted to the slow lanes.
The Department of Public Works apologises for the inevitable inconvenience that will be caused and invites the public to show the necessary understanding and patience and to comply with the temporary road signs and the instructions of the Police.
