The Larnaca Search and Rescue Coordination Centre (LRCRC) announces that today 27 July 2024 at 02:20 it received information about a missing person in the sea area of "Petra tou Romiou" in Paphos District.
The KSEED immediately proceeded to implement the National Plan "NEARCHOS", mobilizing a foot patrol of the Paphos Police Department, a boat of the Port and Maritime Police, as well as a helicopter of the 460 Search and Rescue Squadron of the Air Force Command of the General Staff, on board of which a specialized nurse of the Special Air Ambulance Service Air Ambulance Team was also on board.
The missing person, a 28-year-old man, was located and transferred to Paphos General Hospital, where the doctor on duty pronounced him dead.
