[PIO] Announcement of the Public Works Department regarding works in the Nicosia Prefecture

1. Maintenance works of the greenery of the central islands on sections of roads in the Nicosia Urban Area

The Nicosia District Public Works Engineer's Office, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that from Monday 4/3/2024 until Wednesday 20/3/2024, on sections of the following roads in the Nicosia Urban Area, the Municipality of Strovolos will carry out green maintenance works on the central islands, from Monday 4/3/2024 until Wednesday 20/3/2024:

3. On Limassol Avenue, from the junction with Athalassa Street to Kostas Anaxagora Street (2 March 2024 - Saturday, between 06:00-13:00). Independence Avenue (4-5 March 2024, between 09:00-16:00),

During the execution of the works, the adjacent traffic lane of the central island will be closed in sections for a length of approximately 100-200 m. at a time, and traffic will be directed to the adjacent traffic lane.

The Project Engineering Office of the Nicosia Peripheral Motorway, Public Works Department, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that on Saturday 2/3/2024 from 05:00 in the morning until 06:00 in the afternoon, as part of the Construction of the Nicosia Perimeter Motorway Phase A1, on Pefkos Street, service works will be carried out near the junction with the new roundabout at Av. Tseriou, adjacent to the GGS plant. Traffic will be conducted on a STOP & GO basis.

3. Replacement of grouting at the "Kalamon" bridge junction on the A1 motorway at Strovolos

The Nicosia District Engineer's Office, Public Works Department, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, announces that during the period 28/2/2024 - 13/3/2024, from 20:00 in the evening until 05:30 in the morning of the next day (except Friday, Saturday and Sunday), grout replacement works will be carried out at the "Kalamon" bridge junction on the A1 motorway in Strovolos.

During the works, one lane of the road will be closed to traffic and drivers are advised to use the adjacent lane.

The Department of Public Works apologizes for the unavoidable inconvenience that will be caused and urges the public to show due understanding and comply with temporary road signs and police instructions.
