The Branch of Supervisors of the Road Transport Department of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works carries out daily checks on the road network. The inspections are carried out nationwide by teams of Supervisors and in cooperation with other government departments in order to combat and prevent illegality.

The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works reminds professional and private drivers, as well as businesses, to comply with the Road Traffic Code, with particular emphasis on the condition of the tyres of their vehicles, on carrying the load provided for in their vehicle's licence and on complying with the provision of the law regarding the lashing of the load. Unfortunately, there are daily occurrences of illegality, which endanger not only the driver of the vehicle but all users of the road network.
