The Ministry of Health announces the completion of the investigation of the ad hoc committee established by the Director General of the Ministry of Health Dr. Christina Giannakis for the investigation of samples of AEK players, which were sent to the Institute of Neurology and Genetics as COVID-19 reference laboratory and were further processed.
Following the investigation, irregularities have been found in the reporting process of the tests by a specific laboratory, as well as a violation of health protocols. The case has been forwarded to the Cyprus Football Federation to be dealt with appropriately and proportionately under its regulations.
