The Council of Ministers approved today, Wednesday, 5 June 2024, on the proposal of the Minister of Energy, Trade and Industry, Mr George Papanastasiou, the 2nd Call for Grants to Support New Business Activity in areas within the British Bases.
The Scheme, prepared by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the purpose of equal treatment of the citizens of the Republic, aims to develop, support and promote entrepreneurship, with an emphasis on specific population groups, such as young people and women, who wish to engage in entrepreneurship in the manufacturing, services and tourism sectors, making use of their knowledge, experience, training and talents. The activities excluded from the Scheme are listed in Annex I of the Scheme Guide.
The grant intensity is 70% for young men and women aged 18-29 years, while for men aged 30-50 years and women aged 30-55 years the intensity will be 60%. The grant is calculated on the cost of the eligible investment costs (Equipment, Special Facilities, Construction, Purchase and Renovation/Reconstruction of Buildings, Promotion/Promotion and Other Expenditure), with a maximum eligible budget per enterprise of €120,000.
The total budget allocated for the needs of the 2nd Call for Proposals is €500.000 and comes from the State Budget.
Interested parties may obtain the Guide to the Project, which contains all the details, the List of Supporting Documents, as well as other required forms or documents from the website of the Ministry of Education and Culture, in particular from the website of the Υπηρεσίας Βιομηχανίας και Τεχνολογίας.
Please note that applications/proposals from Recipients will only be submitted through the Department of Energy, Trade and Industry's online Grants Plan System during a specific time period specified in the relevant Call for Proposals, which will be announced in the near future.
