On the basis of agreements between the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth and the Ministry of Health, and after approval by the Council of Ministers, student parades will be held to commemorate the national anniversary of March 25, 1821, with the observance of specific health precautions.
Specifically, pupils and students participating will be required to have a Health Certificate (SafePass), as it applies to primary, secondary and higher education schools respectively. The other participants, as well as the public attending the parades, must have a Health Certificate (SafePass) as provided for in the current Decree.
In order to comply with the measures against the pandemic, the composition of the sections taking part in the Parades has been modified as follows, in relation to those in force during the pre-pandemic period. (Higher Education), up to 40 people (3 flag bearers + 1 ensign + 9 squares)
- High schools, 52 people (11 ensigns/protesters + 1 ensign + 10 squares)
- Secondary schools, 40 people (11 ensigns/protesters + 1 ensign + 7 squares)
- Associations, up to 15 persons
- Scouts/Guides 75%
- In case of participation of Private and/or Public Primary Schools, up to 40 persons per school unit
- Philharmonics/Bands only of the High Schools of each region
At the local Doxologies, the educational institutions will be represented as follows:
Representation of each Institution of Higher Education or Secondary School consisting of three students, students with the banner, the Greek and Cypriot flag. High schools are encouraged to be represented with the banner only, to avoid overcrowding inside the Temples.
