[PIO] Announcement of the Health Insurance Organisation regarding the upgrades to the GHS IT System regarding Personal Physicians

The Health Insurance Organisation (HIO) wishes to inform the public that the Information Technology System (IT) of the General Health System (GHS) has been upgraded, enabling beneficiaries to have access to important information regarding Personal Physicians (PH), by making the following changes:

1. Display an indication of the number of enrolled beneficiaries on the Personal Physician (Adult and Pediatric PI) list

Specifically, when searching for a Provider through the website of the GHS or through the Beneficiary Portal, by selecting the "Health Care Providers" field, the information given for each PI has been enriched with the range of the number of beneficiaries registered in his/her list, as follows:

Range of Scale (Number of registered beneficiaries per PI)

> 1000

1000-1499

1500-1999

2000-2500

It should be noted that the maximum number of beneficiaries that each PI is entitled to register on its list is 2500.

The following screenshots show the above information, depending on the search mode.

I. GIS website

The beneficiary through the "Provider Search", after selecting a specific physician, can access the availability and number of beneficiaries enrolled in his/her directory, as shown in the box below:

II. Beneficiary Portal

The beneficiary, after entering the "Beneficiary File" of the Beneficiary Portal, after selecting the indication "Health Care Providers", by searching for the physician of his/her choice, can see the corresponding information (in a green box):

2. Display of substitutes for Personal Physicians

In addition, the information provided on PIs is enhanced by displaying the substitutes for PIs either through the GIS website or through the Beneficiary Portal. This information is only visible during the replacement of the PI by a substitute.

The beneficiary through the "Provider Search" selects his/her Personal Physician and accesses the following information:

By selecting the point with a red box on the screen above, the information of the Replacement Physician will be displayed:

II. Beneficiary Portal

The beneficiary, after logging into the "Beneficiary File" of the Beneficiary Portal, will select the box in green "Replacement Physicians" as shown in the screenshot below:

The details of the Replacement PI will then be displayed as follows:

In conclusion, it is noted that OAI remains committed to the continuous upgrade of the IT System, in the context of enhancing the quality of the health services provided by the GHS and the efficient service to beneficiaries.
