The Ethics and Sports Protection Committee announces the following:
1. Basketball match ENAD-APOEL held on 22/12/2021
Following the decision to conduct an investigation into the above match, the Commission appointed lawyers Mary Olivia McCluskey and Katerina Sofokleous as Investigating Officers for the said investigation. Their terms of reference include the investigation of criminal and/or disciplinary offences of manipulation, bribery, prohibited betting and incompatibility of persons who were in any way involved in the match in question.
2. ENP-ERMI cup match held on 19/1/2022
For the match in question, a file was received on 24/1/2022 from UEFA containing evidence of suspicious betting activity and in which suspicions were recorded against ERMI ARADIPPOS for match manipulation.
The Commission is currently studying the file and the information contained therein and will take a position on it shortly.
