The Ethics and Sports Protection Committee, after its last meeting, announces the following:
[*]1. INTERCONFERENCE OF REFERENCES-VAR
Following the finding in the Conclusion of the match between Homonias and Doxas that not all the intercom dialogues were kept, but only extracts of them, the Commission contacted the CMP and was assured that, this issue had already been resolved after the match in question and some time prior to the issuance of the Conclusion and now all the audiovisual material is kept.
Therefore, and because the Commission receives requests to intervene so that VAR dialogues are given to Clubs, it is made clear that such requests do not fall within the competence of the Commission.
[*]2. INVESTIGATION INTO TWO RALI FIGHTS
Following a complaint by a citizen and a decision to that effect, the Commission appointed lawyers Mr. Hercules Agathokleous and Marinos Armeytis, as Investigating Officers to conduct an investigation into the following two rallies:
(a) Acropolis Rally, which was held on 22/5/2021,
(b](b) Tiger Rally, which was held on 13-14/11/2021.
The terms of reference given to the Investigating Officers include consideration of the possibility of manipulation of the above races,
actions of incompatibility and the possible commission of disciplinary offences.
[*]3. DECISION TO INVESTIGATE A CASH FOOTBALL GAME
Following a complaint by the Cyprus Basketball Federation (KOK) and, after studying the content of the complaint, it was decided to conduct an investigation into the basketball match between HSAD and APOEL, which took place on 22/12/2021. The appointment of the Investigating Officers and the terms of their mandate will be given at the next meeting of the Commission and, to this end, a relevant announcement will be issued.
