The Ethics and Sports Protection Committee announces that during a visit to Greece on Tuesday, 30 April 2024, it met with the Secretary General of the Ministry of Justice of Greece, Mr Panos Alexandris, with whom it held talks on issues of common interest.
On the same day he had a meeting with Dr. Andreas Malatos who specializes in Sports Law.
Further he had a meeting with the Secretary General of Sports Mr. George Mavrotas with whom they exchanged views on issues related to corruption in sports, its fight and the implementation of the Magglingen/Macolin Convention.
During the meeting of the Commission with the Secretary General of Sports, it was agreed to sign an agreement for full cooperation and for this purpose the lawyers of both sides have been instructed to draft the relevant agreement, which will be signed soon.
The two sides agreed that the cooperation between them should be strengthened through various actions both in Cyprus and in Greece.
