[PIO] Announcement of the Department of Public Works for road closures and works in the Paphos and Larnaca Districts

1. Closed sections of roads in Paphos District

The Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, announces that on Sunday 3/3/2023, from 07:00 to 13:00 at the latest, parts of the following roads in Paphos will be closed to traffic due to the "26th Logicom Cyprus Marathon":

  1. The Old Limassol - Paphos road (B6) from the confluence of the Mandria community, will be closed for vehicles heading from Limassol to Paphos, from 07:30 until approximately 12:00, with the exception of vehicles heading to Paphos Airport. Other vehicles will be directed to the Limassol - Paphos motorway (A6).
  2. On the Old Limassol - Paphos road (B6), from the confluence of the road to Paphos Airport, the lane towards Paphos will be closed from approximately 07:30 to 12:00 and vehicles will be directed to the Limassol - Paphos motorway (A6) via the Old Paphos - Limassol road.
  3. Agion Anargyron Avenue (E614), from the roundabout at the junction with Danae Avenue, will be closed to vehicles heading towards Paphos from 08:00 to 11:00.
  4. Poseidonos Avenue (E705) will be closed to all vehicles from 08:00 and traffic will be gradually restored.

During the event, all necessary arrangements will be made for the smooth and safe diversion of traffic via adjacent roads.

2. The Larnaca District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that during the period from 4/3/2024 to 28/6/2024, except Sundays and holidays, from 08:00 in the morning until 15:00 in the afternoon, work will be carried out for cutting, collecting and removing grass, as well as collecting and removing waste objects on ordinary roads in Larnaca District.

During the execution of the works, the road shoulder will be closed in sections and traffic will remain in the lanes as normal without the shoulder.

The Department of Public Works apologizes for the unavoidable inconvenience that will be caused and urges the public to show due understanding and comply with temporary road markings and police instructions.
