[PIO] Announcement of the Department of Agriculture

The Department of Agriculture, Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces the opening of the 7th Call for Applications for the following Projects, from 02/04/2024 to 14/06/2024:

a)

Beneficiaries eligible to participate in the Schemes are natural or legal persons, dioceses, monasteries or churches, or other ecclesiastical or religious organisations and foresters, who are registered in the Register of Farmers and Agricultural Holdings or participate in the Extensive Subsidy Scheme or the Capital Subsidy Scheme of the Cyprus Agricultural Payments Agency, for the year 2024 or are registered in the register of beekeepers of the Department of Agriculture. It is noted that all potentially eligible applicants, who are not registered in the Register of Farmers and Agricultural Holdings, when submitting their application online, will complete their registration in the selected e-Services "Application for aid for oil for agricultural use", after entering the number 00-201800000. Participation in the Beekeepers Registry for the year 2024 will be verified by the Beekeepers Registry database held by the Department of Agriculture.

It is also noted that all Beneficiaries for participation in the Plans must meet the following requirements:

(a) For the Scheme Concession of Aid to Beneficiaries of 'coloured' agricultural diesel for diesel used in vehicles for agricultural purposes, Beneficiaries must participate and benefit from the Agricultural Coloured Diesel Tax Scheme, applied by the Department of Customs, receive 'coloured' diesel for the relevant reference period and own eligible diesel vehicles (van, single-cab, double-cab, truck) which they use for agricultural purposes.

(b) For the Beekeepers' Fuel Oil Concession Aid Scheme, beneficiaries must be registered in the Beekeepers' Register of the Department of Agriculture and maintain a number of beehives equal to or greater than 50, be engaged in nomadic beekeeping according to the most recent revision of the Register at the time of application and be the legal owner of an eligible diesel-powered vehicle (single-cab, lorry) used for nomadic beekeeping.

All applications will be submitted electronically via the 'Internet Portal of the Republic of Cyprus'. Applicants will be informed by e-mail of the preliminary approval or rejection of their application.

Interested parties can obtain the relevant information on the Schemes from the website of the Department of Agriculture and from the Provincial Agricultural Offices.
