The Cyprus Agricultural Payments Agency (CAP) announces that, despite the difficulties since the first implementation of the new Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) 2023-2027, such as multiple new interventions, increased controls, new computerised systems and new procedures, they have been processed to date:

  1. 24.877 applications out of a total of 29,894 applications (83.22%), concerning the Extensive Grants.
  2. 814 applications out of 860 applications (94.65%) in respect of Capital Grants. The remaining applications are in a sample of Multiple Compliance check (pending) and will be processed later.
  3. All applications (100%) concerning State Aid for Sheep and Goat Farming.

The processing of the remaining applications is continuing smoothly and feverishly. Applications that meet the criteria are expected to be processed within the next few days.

It is recalled that, under European legislation, payments will start in December 2023 and are expected to be completed in June 2024.
