The Council of the Licensing Authority announces that, pursuant to the provisions of subsection (3) of Article 5 of the Law on the Regulation of Road Transport (Law No. 9/82), it accepts applications for the granting of one (1) new road licence for a rural taxi based in the Community of Kyperounda.
The road licence to be granted will be subject to the following condition: The licensed vehicle shall remain on the premises around the clock to serve the passenger needs of the public, except during the time it is leased.
The Licensing Authority shall take into account, in addition to what is provided by law, the following:
[*]The applicant shall be a permanent resident of the Community of Kyperounta. [*]The applicant must hold a Professional Driver's Licence in the category of Taxi. [*]The vehicle to be registered must not be more than seven (7) years old. [*]The Driver's License to be automatically cancelled after the owner reaches 70 years of age, and after he ceases to hold a Professional Driver's License (PDL) or at any time he ceases to hold a PDL and/or upon his death. [*]No right of transfer.
Applications may be submitted to the District Office of the Limassol Road Transport Department, from 23 August 2024 to 06 September 2024, both dates inclusive.
