The Office of the Commissioner of the Presidency in cooperation with the World Federations of Cypriots in Diaspora POMAK-PSEKA-NEPOMAK, in the context of the 45th anniversary of the foundation of POMAK-PSEKA, among other actions, prepared an anniversary video to commemorate their 45 years of struggle and contribution to the homeland.
It is worth noting that the establishment of the two Federations, POMAK and PSEKA, took place during the First Congress of Cypriot Expatriates in 1976, in the presence of the First President of the Republic of Cyprus, Archbishop Makarios III of Cyprus.
The contribution of our Expatriates to their homeland is well known and their role all these years after the Turkish invasion proved to be of decisive importance in the common struggles for our long-suffering homeland and demonstrates the inextricable ties that unite them with our homeland. Their action, their multifaceted work, their dedication to our customs, traditions and traditions, but most of all their selfless love for Cyprus, honour our country and the Hellenic Cypriots everywhere. They are our best ambassadors abroad and we owe them deep gratitude.
For 45 years they have been a living cell of Hellenism abroad. The State, the Government and our Office express our thanks for the work they do and assure our continued support in their every effort.
Through POMAK and PSEKA, NEPOMAK was created, which expresses the new generation of our Expatriates, the future of Hellenism Abroad. Their presence and participation gives us hope that the new generation will continue the excellent work initiated with much effort and sacrifice by the previous generations of our Expatriates.
