[PIO] Announcement by the Ministry of Health on new cases of COVID-19, 10 March 2022

The Ministry of Health announces that today, 10 March 2022:

- 3 deaths

- Related to:

  1. Female, aged 54 years, who died on 9 March
  2. Female, aged 85 years, who died on 10 March
  3. Male, aged 89 years, who died on 10 March

- Total number of deaths with a terminal cause of COVID-19: 889

- Total number of deaths with a terminal cause of COVID-19: 889.

- 113 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized in OCHS hospitals

- 22 in serious condition (ICU: 0 off ventilator/8 intubated, NICU: 14)

- Percentage of inpatients with no history of vaccination: 57.53%

- 21 patients who ceased to be infectious continue to be intubated due to COVID in an ICU.

Diagnostic tests:

- A total of 98,705 diagnostic tests

- A total of 3,473 new cases were identified (total cases 344.856)

- Positivity rate in all tests 3.52%

Total number of molecular tests (PCR):[/B]

- 3.868 molecular tests

- 386 positive cases

- Positivity rate 9.98%

Total number of rapid antigen detection tests (RapidTest):

- 94.837 rapid antigen detection tests

- 3.087 positive cases

- Positivity rate 3.26%

Tracing:

- 343 molecular tests were performed and 66 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 19,24%)

- 663 rapid antigen detection tests were performed and 76 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 11.46%)

Private initiative:

- Conducted 1.449 molecular tests, 247 positive cases detected (positivity rate 17.05%)

- 41,417 rapid antigen detection tests performed, 2.071 positive cases (positivity rate 5%)

Through the Ministry of Health programmes, 53,420 rapid antigen detection tests were performed. 1,016 positive cases were detected.

- Sampling points: 14,690 rapid detection tests detected 689 positive cases (positivity rate 4.69%)

Education

- Primary education: 20.256 rapid antigen detection tests, 89 positive cases detected (positivity rate 0.44%)

- Secondary Education: 11.878 rapid detection tests detected 88 positive cases (positivity rate 0.74%)

- Test-to-Stay: 2.728 rapid antigen detection tests and 33 positive cases were detected (positivity rate 1.21%)

- Special Schools: 858 rapid antigen detection tests were performed and 1 positive case was identified (positivity rate 0.12%)

Other

- Welfare homes: 1 positive case was performed.060 [/B] rapid antigen detection tests, 31 positive cases detected (positivity rate 2.92%)

- Closed facilities: 186 rapid antigen detection tests performed, 3 new cases detected (positivity rate 1.61%)

- Closed facilities: 186 rapid antigen detection tests performed, 3 new cases detected (positivity rate 1.61%).

- Government services: 1.101 rapid antigen detection tests were performed and 6 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 0.54%)
