The Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry (MoETI) announces a call for applications under the "Cycle Economy Grants Scheme for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)". The Project is included in the Cyprus Recovery and Resilience Plan (CRP) for the period 2021-2026 and will be funded by the European Union (EU) Recovery and Resilience Mechanism.
The total amount available for the needs of the Project, which is implemented under Measure C3.1R4 of the CRP, amounts to €14.4 million.
The application period will start on Tuesday, 2 July 2024 at 9 a.m.p.m. and applications will be accepted via the YENB's online Grant Scheme System until 30 September 2024 at 11.59 p.m.
It is stressed that applications and related required documents should only be submitted electronically at the Portal of the YENEB's Electronic Sponsorship Scheme System, using Chrome, Firefox and Edge browsers. The order of priority will be determined based on the order of submission of proposals and the maximum amount of approvals will not exceed the available budget of the Scheme.
The Scheme aims to support new and existing SMEs by supporting new circular economy investments in order to make their products, production processes and business practices more environmentally friendly. The financial support consists of providing a grant for defined eligible costs related to the transition or start-up of a business based on a circular business model.
The maximum total amount of grant that can be awarded to an SME is €400,000.
Eligible business activities do not include activities related to the sectors of fisheries, aquaculture and primary production of agricultural/livestock products, and
