[PIO] Announcement by the Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry regarding the Aphrodite gas field

The Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry (MoETI) announces that the joint venture of the Aphrodite gas field, which consists of Chevron Cyprus Limited, NewMed Energy Limited Partnership and BG Cyprus Limited, has submitted its proposal to optimise the agreed Development and Production Plan for the field within the timeframes set by the Ministry.

The Ministry will evaluate the submitted proposal together with its consultants and inform the Licensing Consortium accordingly. In the meantime, the Ministry does not intend to make any further public statements on the matter.
