Today Friday, at 18:15, the Larnaca Search and Rescue Coordination Centre (LRCRC) received information about an injured person in distress in the sea area near Ammos beach of Kampouris. The person in question was lying on a rock, at a distance from the shore, to which due to adverse weather conditions it was not possible to approach by sea.
KSEED proceeded to implement the National Plan "NEARCHOS", mobilizing a helicopter of the Police Air Operations Unit, which, after retrieving the injured person, transported him to Famagusta General Hospital for treatment.
