[PIO] Announcement by the Health Services on the recall of dried figs from the Cypriot market

The Health Service of the Ministry of Health, as part of its official controls on the Cypriot market, has taken samples of the following foodstuff, in which, after laboratory tests by the accredited laboratories of the General State Chemistry Laboratory, Aflatoxin B1 was determined to be higher than the percentage permitted by Community legislation.

The Health Services of the Ministry of Health have already informed the company that packages and distributes this product in the Cypriot market with instructions for immediate recall/withdrawal of all packaging of this batch.

However, as some packages of this batch of the food in question may already be in the possession of consumers, they are advised to avoid consuming it and, if they wish, to return them to the premises where they purchased them.
