[PIO] Announcement by the Department of Postal Services regarding Facebook fraud

The Department of Postal Services (Cyprus Postal Services) informs the public that a new Facebook scam attempt has been observed for the alleged sale of unclaimed postal parcels in our warehouses. The page under the name "Kyprios Postal" bearing the Cyprus Postal Services logo is illegal.

Cyprus Post has no involvement and urges the public to be particularly careful.

As a reminder, the points to look out for to determine that the communication/posting does NOT [/B]come from Cyprus Post are:

[*]The postings do not link to the official website of the Department www.cypruspost.post. [*]Cyprus Post does not store unclaimed parcels, since in case of non-delivery they are returned to the sender. [*]Payments are not executed through the JCCSmart online payment platform but through another email address.
