As part of my duties under the provisions of Article 57(1)(d), to promote awareness among controllers and processors of their obligations, under the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), I hereby inform you that my Office has prepared and posted on its website a GDPR Compliance Guide. This Guide, in the form of questions, provides an opportunity for controllers and processors to investigate and/or assess at a first stage whether their processing operations and their actions comply with the GDPR. In addition, it provides indicative questions on how to take organisational and technical measures to ensure the protection of the data being processed.
It is further noted that the questions included in the Guide are not an exhaustive list. Also, specific sections and/or questions may not be applicable in all cases. In any case, controllers and processors should use the Guide, taking into account the categories of data they process, the processing operations they perform, as well as their area of activity.
