On 26 February 2024, the training programme for Data Protection Officers of the Public and Wider Public Sector, which took place at the premises of the Cyprus Pedagogical Institute, to which I express my thanks for the use of its event room, was successfully completed.
The training programme is part of my Office's strategic actions for continuous and substantial support and assistance to Data Protection Officers, which aims at the proper exercise of their advisory and catalytic role for compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation.
The training lasted approximately 3 hours and included an introduction and presentation of the subject matter as well as analysis of case studies with the active participation and interaction of the participants.
The training was attended by a total of 194 participants from the Public and Wider Public Sector.
A corresponding training programme for Data Protection Officers in the Private Sector will follow.
