It is with great pleasure that I am with you today to inaugurate the multipurpose room of the Primary School of Pallouriotissa A΄. It is our priority to create modern, safe and pedagogically upgraded school infrastructure. As I stated during my previous visit to your school, almost a year ago, we set as our priority the upgraded building and pedagogical operation of our schools, so that they can fully meet modern educational needs and continue the work of developing knowledge and skills, but also the cultivation of principles, attitudes and values. Considering that in recent years the school's main characteristic is its multicultural identity, the creation of the multi-purpose hall offers opportunities for even more opportunities for creative, productive learning and employment to the student and educational community, but also to the society of the wider region.

This is also the ultimate goal of the targeted policy we adopt, promoting on a nationwide scale important projects for the improvement, expansion and modernization of school buildings. Our aim is to ensure that everyone has the right, without hindrance, to enjoy learning in spaces that are truly functional and suitable for the achievement of the multiple educational objectives we set. Objectives which relate to the creation of a modern, human-centred, inclusive school, in which citizens with skills, responsibility, democratic ethos, historical identity and respect for diversity are formed, citizens who can face the challenges of the future and contribute creatively to the development of society.

At this point I would like to mention, by way of example, some of the important objectives already achieved in the first year of governance, such as the promotion of modernisation We will continue to work in close cooperation with all stakeholders, addressing any potential glitches and problems that may arise, achieving even greater strides in the best interests of our students, our teachers and our country's education in general.

In conclusion, I would like to thank the Nicosia School Ephorate, the Management and the Parents' Association of the School, the Technical Services of the Ministry and all stakeholders for their cooperation in order to complete the project. I also congratulate the management, teachers and other staff of the school, for the diligence and love they show, achieving the smooth and effective operation of the school unit.

I would like to give special thanks to the heads of both cycles, the teaching staff, the students, the Nicosia School Ephorate and the Parents and Guardians Association of Palouriotissa A Primary School, as well as to all those who contributed to the organization of today's event.

I am absolutely sure that the new and well-equipped multipurpose hall will be a centre of knowledge and culture, as well as learning activities, sports and creativity, which will highlight the historical identity of the school and improve the quality of life of the residents of the wider area.
