"We cannot join NATO and we have to accept it" says Zelensky Open admission by the Ukrainian president during his address to a meeting of the leaders of the Joint Force

Volodymyr Zelensky[/B] seemed to acknowledge, during his remarks at a meeting of Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF) leaders in London on Tuesday morning that Ukraine's membership of NATO cannot be achieved.

"It is clear that Ukraine is not a member of NATO. We understand that. We are reasonable people. For years we were told about supposedly open doors, but we also heard that we cannot enter. This is the truth and this must be accepted," the Ukrainian president said."

It should be noted that Ukraine's non-membership in NATO is one of Vladimir Putin's key demands in the conditions he is reportedly setting for the conclusion of hostilities on Ukrainian territories.

Help stop the Russian war machine because then the Russians will come to you

During the same address, Zelensky sent a new message to Northern European leaders, calling for more support for the country's struggle and warning that Russia may target other parts of Europe.

"We can still stop the Russian war machine, we can still stop killing people," he said, arguing it would be "easier to do it together."

"Because otherwise, they will come to you," he added."

"It is clear that Ukraine is not a member of NATO. We understand that. We are reasonable people. For years we were told about supposedly open doors, but we also heard that we cannot enter. That is the truth and that has to be accepted," he added."
