Prosecutors said the flight attendant asked the 28-year-old to properly wear her coronavirus protection mask and fasten her seat belt, with Quinones becoming enraged and attacking the hapless flight attendant with punches and pushes with passengers looking on in bewilderment before one of them intervened to try to calm the enraged woman.
The in-flight attack was filmed by another passenger.
Quinones, who pleaded guilty to assaulting the flight attendant, is due to be sentenced on March 11. She faces up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine, but prosecutors will likely recommend four months in jail and six months of house arrest, according to local media.
