Reports and photographic documents from the Dionysos Civil Protection volunteers about a possible wolf attack on dogs in the wider area of Dionysos

The Civil Protection volunteers posted on their Facebook page photos of two stray dogs, which seem to have been attacked by a wild animal, probably a wolf, as they say. They cite reliable testimonies of other residents, who claim to have seen a wolf in the Rapentosa area,

"We draw your attention , on your walks in the forest and especially when you have your pet with you" they stress.

According to volunteer George Tsamboukos, "the dog was in a fenced plot, no traces of boar footprints were found, nor was the fence damaged anywhere. Something jumped in from above. The tracks are confused with those of the dogs."

According to reports from local websites and a group of residents on Facebook, it is possible that wolves have also appeared in recent days in Nea Erythraia, while some are talking about a pack.

Most likely they passed under the underground crossings of the Athens-Lamia highway, due to snow, local residents comment.

A wolf reportedly appeared in the Kastri area of Nea Erythraia, according to residents, who tried to inform the animal welfare organization.
