The autopsy performed yesterday showed the obvious. The killers and their accomplices wanted Andreas Evangellou dead at all costs. The killer fired 6 bullets at him on Tuesday night. They set up a stakeout, approached by motorcycle, one of them got off, fired his murderous shot and disappeared. Their victim died inside the car he had just parked in the ground floor of the apartment building where he lived in the Mackenzie area. All with lightning but decisive movements and without being noticed at that moment.
According to the findings of the autopsy carried out on the body by forensic experts Angeliki Papetta and Orthodox Orthodox, the victim bore six wounds, four in the back, one in the arm and one in the head, next to the ear. The 53-year-old's death was caused by internal bleeding, as a result of multiple body and vital organ injuries caused by a firearm.

Investigators in the murder of 53-year-old Evangelou, who had not previously been of concern to authorities, have in their hands videos from closed-circuit television installed in the area which they are studying frame by frame in an attempt to get to the perpetrators. At the same time, they are also looking for CCTV footage at other points along the route taken by Evangelou, from the tavern where he was to the apartment building, where he arrived with a foreign employee in the car. As reported in a previous post, the foreigner, shocked by the murderous ambush committed in front of him, fled. However, he was located, gave a statement and nothing was found against him. Investigators believe that images from the route may shed light on whether other persons were watching the 53-year-old and "signaled" to the shooters when to strike.
However, in the video in the possession of the investigators, one of the two occupants of the motorcycle, and specifically the shooter, can be seen carrying out his murder plan with his face uncovered.
The investigations and examinations are in full swing. From the very first moment, several persons passed through the Larnaca CID offices for questioning, while by Friday the investigators are awaiting the results of the ballistics examination, although it is considered unlikely that the weapon has a history that could help solve the case. This appears to be the reason why the killer left shell casings behind at the scene. In addition, they are awaiting the results of the victim's telecommunications data which may provide some answers.
"Riddle" remains for now the motive behind the criminal act.
