[Cyprus Times] Walk-in vaccinations on Sunday at Kalo Horio Limassol

Vaccination against COVID-19 of residents of the greater commandery area Announcement of the Ministry of Health

The Ministry of Health continues its efforts to increase vaccination coverage of the population against COVID-19 and in particular to increase booster dose vaccinations, given its importance in boosting the immunity of population groups most susceptible to serious disease and hospitalization.

In this regard, and following consultation between the Minister of Health Mr. Michael Hadjipandela and the Commissioner for Mountain Community Development Mr. Kostas Hambiaouris,on Sunday 19 December 2021, from 8:30 in the morning until 12:30 at noon,a mobile vaccination unit will be at the Kalo Chorio Limassol District Primary School to vaccinate the residents of the wider area.

Ministry of Health officials will be present in the community to inform citizens about the benefits of vaccination, as well as to answer questions and concerns of citizens regarding vaccination.

Only the following groups of citizens will be eligible for vaccination by the mobile unit.


  • Persons, aged 12 years and older, who have not yet been vaccinated against COVID-19 (1st dose administration).
  • Persons, 12 years of age or older, who have received the 1st dose of Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna vaccine and the period required for the 2nd dose (Pfizer 3 weeks and Moderna 4 weeks) has elapsed.
    As regards vaccination with
  • booster/3rd dose, persons aged 18 years and over will be served, provided that a period of five months and two weeks has elapsed since vaccination with the 2nd dose.
    For persons who have received the Johnson & Johnson mono-conjugate vaccine, they will be able to receive a booster dose with mRNA technology vaccine (Pfizer/Biontech and Moderna)
As a reminder, all individuals will

necessarily be required to present proof of identification (ID card, passport, Alien Registration Card, etc.) and their vaccination card if they will be receiving the 2nd or 3rd dose.
