Clashes inside parliament during a session on an election law Unbelievable scenes played out
Clashes broke out in parliament in Kenya today between MPs, during a sitting on a controversial political parties bill, ahead of general elections slated for next August.
At least two MPs exchanged punches and the sitting was adjourned by the speaker of the lower house of parliament, according to images broadcast by a Kenyan television network.

A congressman, Bernard Coros, was injured in the eye during the fight and was seen with blood streaming down his face. Another MP was expelled from the chamber on the president's orders.
"I cannot accept that I was injured in this way in the halls of parliament, Mr. President," said Koros, a supporter of Kenyan Vice President William Ruto, a former ally of President Uhuru Kenyatta, with whom he is now in open confrontation.
The clashes erupted after hours of wrangling centred on a bill that would amend the Political Parties Act, notably changing the way coalitions are formed and registered for elections.
Opponents of the law suspect that President Kenyatta and his former rival and now ally Raila Odinga want to use it to form a coalition ahead of the August 9 general election.
